Spring is Springing... Outfit of the Day- 3-19-16

Hi everyone! This is an OOTD from a couple weekends ago. I have been transitioning my outfits to a more spring-like vibe. The weather where I live is still in the inbetween cold and hot phase, and on those 60ish degree days, I'll usually wear something like this. Hope you enjoy :)

The oh-so trust bralette is from Free People.

My sweater is from Madewell, featuring zipper detailing on the sides. The dark wash jeans/jeggings are from American Eagle.

I'm wearing a pair of Adidas Superstar sneakers. Beware- they run super big, but they are so cute.  I ordered mine from Urban Outfitters.

The full look.

Thanks for reading, and happy spring!

A Day In My Life- 3-5-16

Hi everyone! Today I decided to show you my Saturday. Enjoy these photos of a day in my life :)

Headed to the botanical garden...

A giant chess set that amused Josie for less than a minute.

Plants and such

Sister hugs :)

Time for some noms. We went to a cafe and I had a delicious mango smoothie and a lemon poppy seed muffin.

Josie had chocolate gelato.

The day ended with a "sister date" while my parents were out and Josie and I baked cookies.

What To Do When You're Snowed In

Hi! I am notorious for spending hours on my phone when I have nowhere to be, so I thought I'd share with you some productive ideas I have on what to do if home.

-bake something yummy
-read a book
-draw, color, or paint
-watch DIY videos on YouTube, and create something
-lounge around and watch TV
-take a nap
-online shop (a personal favorite of mine)
-take photos outside
-organize/clean your room

OOTD, Isabel, and Cupcakes

Hi everyone! Today's post will be be featuring my lovely friend Isabel. She is an amazing friend and a fellow blogger. Check out her blog, you won't regret it :). Isabel is planning to post this coming Wednesday, so get ready! Today, Isabel came over and we baked some delicious cupcakes. I wish I could send you cupcakes through the computer, but photos will have to do. Thank you to Isabel for photographing my outfit!

A full view.

This chambray shirt is so fun to style! I layered it with a pink and white striped tee today. I bought this tee from Old Navy springtime of last year, so unfortunately I couldn't find it on their website to provide a link. But, it's possible they will sell it again this year.

I tied my hair in a floppy bun that I wear for gymnastics, and of course I'm wearing the Aldo booties that I have featured in every single post so far. No shame. Okay, maybe a little shame. I decided to go comfy with some Aerie leggings

January Favorites

Hi! Today I decided to post a few of my favorite things from this month. Can I just say that January went by so fast??? Let's see what February has in store! Enjoy these photos :)

I have been loving necklaces lately. They spice up the comfy outfit of a tee shirt and jeans, and Madewell has the cutest ones! The marble makes it so versatile and the adjustable pulls are so convenient.

This necklace has also been one of my favorites this month. It's from Madewell, and with the adjustable pulls and chic arrow design it is just as great as the marble necklace! Another plus; it's on sale right now!

I cannot say enough great things about this bralette. Comfy, cute, and versatile- you can't go wrong!

These Madewell Anthem tees are 50% of what I wear. The striped one is probably my favorite. The solid ones are great staple pieces.

I talked about these booties in my last post, but I couldn't leave them out of this one. They age so well, and although they are a bit pricey, they are a great investment. They also come in 4 different colors if this camel color isn't your thing.

This sports bra from Lululemon is so cute and practical! It's a great investment, and I love the criss-cross straps. They come in bunches of different colors, and I love the pattern contrast on mine.

My last monthly favorite is a hobby; baking. I recently started baking last weekend when we were snowed in. It is super fun, not to mention pretty yummy. I made several treats, including lemon bars (shown above), muffins, sprinkle cookies, and cornbread. They were all delicious, so I will link the recipes that I found online and used so you can bake some goodies.

This basic muffin recipe is great because you can basically add whatever you want! I made cinnamon and blackberry topped mini muffins.

Sprinkle cookies. Enough said. I am definitely going to make these again, because they were so so so delicious.

Introduction

Hi! My name is Vivian. This is the first post of my blog, and I would like to begin this adventure by introducing my theme. I plan to write this blog around my interests, including fashion, treats, crafts, and everything in between. I am a gymnast and a shopaholic. I especially love fashion, and I love to talk about it with others. I can't wait to experiment with blogging! Below, I will show you a favorite outfit of mine from this past week. I hope that this outfit gives you a glimpse into my style.

Recently, my go-to outfit has been this textured cardigan from Urban Outfitters, paired with jeans, a long sleeve tee, and the most comfortable booties of all time, from Aldo. In this outfit, I chose a gray striped tee from Madewell. Not in sight is a super comfy navy bralette- one of my absolute essentials. I am wearing a dark wash pair of jean/jeggings, and I finished off the outfit with a classic watch from Nordstrom BP.
